Opinions-Stamp by Dinoclaws Opinions-Stamp by Dinoclaws
Err yeah, I don't believe that I need to make this stamp. >.> People seems afraid to do critiques which contain negative(And don't get me wrong but a critic is suppose to have of that). And if these could be constructive at a minimum(like tell me what they like or don't like of an image I could guess the negative or the positive).

And I don't count the deviants who "excuse themselves" at the end of their constructive comments. The heck, They don't need to excuse themselves!

:slow: I only received ONE negative critic and a random deviant who viewed my deviation got offended by a that critic I received when I was okay with it.

And I do know and respect people who are not afraid to tell a serious opinion.

I love critiques and feedbacks (positive and negative), i support this stamp even if i completely understand and respect people who don't want a critique under their work.

Ahh yes it's one of my pet peeves with DA, people are afraid to give proper C&C (or R&R as some writers prefer to call it.). I mean seriously, you shouldn't have to almost beg for C&C in your artists comment and still get people who excuse themselves when they give it.
The way I see it, if you leave comments on you're asking for comments and CRITIQUE, if you don't want it, turn them off. (But then you couldn't get your ego stroked... :p)

So yhea, I totally support this stamp, and the Constructive Criticism one. :)

well criticizing when its not asked for is unnecessary. Some people post things to try and make their friends laugh or get people happy and don't need someone to punch them in the face with a surprise critic without even getting permission to do so. They have the right to have the comments on without having someone nit pick their work, just as you don't have to nit pick every work you see. If they say no to criticizing or don't say anywhere that they want it, its safe to assume that you should not and that not everything that is posted on an art site is looking for ciritcs.

You know, I could write an extremely long thing on just exactly why I disagree with you and find your opinion completely and utterly wrong and why you should probably consider using another website, or at least learn how to use the tools this website offers for when you don't want to deal with comments on your work, but the fact that you didn't take the time to check the time stamp (which would have made you realize you're trying to lecture me over something I wrote in a comment made 3 and a half years ago) is just way to god damn hilarious. But at least you live up to your username.

PS: Artists that actually wish to improve in their craft (which is basically all of them) tend to actually WANT criticism.
PPS: You may want to look up the definition of criticism as you seem to be under the impression that the word has a negative meaning when it comes to art.
PPPS: You may also wish to either learn how to spell the word "criticism" before you make comments on it as a concept, it'll make it slightly easier to take you seriously.

I saw what time it was posted but I didn't really give a shit, since I thought that you would reply in a respectful manor but it seems that you are just as childish and immature as it seemed.

artists want to improve but giving them criticism, even if it is nicely written and sugar coated (yes I know that criticism can be nice and not nice please at least have the knowledge to assume that much about a person ) when it is not shown that they want it is ignorant and uncalled for. Just because it makes your dick hard to be able to pick apart someones work doesn't mean that you should do it every time you get the chance to, just because a site was made for criticism doesn't mean that it always has to be used that way. If you can't get past the statement that you have some form of right to criticize someones piece without their permission then I'm sorry but I think you need to get your ego checked and learn some respect. I know some people want it but some people don't and you have to know that before you comment on something and hurt someones feelings. Yes I know that sounds cliche as shit but really there are some people that are pretty sensitive with what they post and breaking their bounce of security when posting something by knocking it down without permission is terrible.

Each to their own, I spelt it right from what my grammar check says and from what my English classes have told me. Though I am originally french so you'll have to excuse that.

I don't see a reason to be respectful towards someone who thinks I'm remotely interested in discussing +3 year old comments where I've already made my opinion clear. Now since you refuse to use a spell-checker (which you really should, your spelling is awful) I refuse to read your long, pointless rant that's most likely designed to be a straw-man you can beat up to "prove me right". So please move on, the immature one here is the one who digs up shit that's older on this site than they themselves are.

I agree, I love getting constructive crit, but the hard thing is when multiple people tell you different things that would make the picture better that contradict each other. v,v I've had this a few times and it actually gets very exasperating, because who do you listen to?

Then there are those who give crit that is based on their own ideas and preferences, and they become a 'director' of sorts. Example, "I don't like the gloves, they should be mittens!!" Things like that. v,v

Negative comments but not rude and trolling.:(It is one thing to say you just dont like something, but to bash it and to insult people for no reason is other. It is suprisingly easly just to let it go.

I love this stamp, thank you for making it. It might be nice to be faved from time to time but what about comments? It's fine if I get negative feedback because I can learn from this. All I need for this is feedback!

I hate that too. I made a stamp (actually a few based off this same person), kind of like this based off a somewhat same experience.

Stamp :gallery:[link]<-----Check them out if you'd like.

Someone asked for a critique, and I gave an honest one. It was not bad or horrible; I said things as nicely as I could. I pointed out her spelling errors, and things she could do to improve, and she rejected my critique as "inflammatory." (Seriously...she spelled "weird" wrong...more than 3 times. :XD: )

Really ticked me off.

 this. :)

I had that too... It was constructive feedback. I tried to point it out in three different ways, always as nicely as possible. And what happens? She and her best friend go all bonkers on me and tell me I am stupid to criticize that wonderful piece of work. Which I haven't. Because I did like this piece but all they heard was "you suck" - I didn't get it.

People are so easily offended. I don't understand why people get so worked up about things they can do to improve.

Weirdos.

 Oh Cheeze, That person is pathetic. Especially for spelling and grammar errors. I actually like that when people correct my English(It is far to be perfect since English is not my main language), so it helps me to improve greatly in English.

Apparently this person thinks that their stuff is the chizz, and doesn't need to edit. Which is pathetic, because REAL WRITERS EDIT!!! :XD:

In my opinion, there is no such thing as a positive or negative opinion. Only opinions. Just because an opinion is against something doesn't mean it is negative. Just because someone's opinion is for something doesn't mean its positive.

Now there is positive and negative feedback, negative being useless feedback ("I don't like it," and "OMG YOUR SO GREAT!") no one gets anything from it and positive being useful feedback ("I enjoy how you achieved ___ by using ___, it was effective," and "___ aspect of your piece was unsuccessful to me, it could be improved and here is how___."

Wow this is the most unique stamp I came across on dA. :wow: It's like a mini bulletin. Very nice

I guess those who wish to say the cons they see in a deviation are afraid of getting harassed by other members. I've seen it once on someone's picture. :| I prefer to hear both pros and cons, it's criticism to help me improve.
